Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) is an entry level course for people wanting to pursue a career with children in early childhood education and care services. Work is carried out in licensed children’s services, including long day care, occasional care, pre-school and kindergarten programs and various other community settings and/or private homes.

This course has been designed for people who are either starting their career in early years education and care or for people who need to formalise their skills. Delivered by industry professionals, the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) teaches the fundamentals of childhood development and how to care for children.

Upon completion of the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (CHC30113) you will have the skills, knowledge and experience to plan leisure and play activities that enable children to achieve their developmental outcomes in an early learning centre.

This course covers the fundamentals of childhood development and caring for children.

You are required to complete 120 hours (6 weeks) of practical work placement.

A Police Check will be required to complete practical placement.
